In quel tempo, disse Gesù ai suoi discepoli: «Quando verrà il Paràclito, che io vi manderò dal Padre, lo Spirito della verità che procede dal Padre, egli darà testimonianza di me; e anche voi date testimonianza, perché siete con me fin dal principio.

Vi ho detto queste cose perché non abbiate a scandalizzarvi.

Vi scacceranno dalle sinagoghe; anzi, viene l’ora in cui chiunque vi ucciderà crederà di rendere culto a Dio.

E faranno ciò, perché non hanno conosciuto né il Padre né me.

But I have told you these things so that when their time comes, you will remember them, because I have told you."

I get inspired

It can be scary, change.

Con la morte e la resurrezione di Gesù viene lo Spirito, e rinasciamo nello Spirito.

Uno Spirito che ha tanti nomi, soffio di vita, Consolatore… Gesù lo chiama Spirito di verità, dice che viene dal Padre, dalla fonte dell’amore. E dice che lo rende presente, perché lui è la Verità.

But coming into the world is not painless: this is a Spirit who disturbs us from our positions, asks us to choose, continually, whether to give life or to take it, whether to love or not.

Può far paura perché è uno Spirito che ci espone al rifiuto.

Gesù prepara i suoi discepoli alla sofferenza che verrà nelle persecuzioni, dice che tutto questo male viene dal non conoscere l’amore del Padre, dal non riconoscersi fratelli.

Il problema oggi è che rischia di non scandalizzarci neanche più il male.

And it makes me think of my places of death, of the people who mocked me, of the convictions I've seen collapse, of the relationships that ended because they smelled of death more than of life... The stubbornness with which I tried to rebuild, to to put back together what grace had destroyed.

Ai muri che sono diventati invalicabili, anche i miei, in nome di un’idea sbagliata di Dio.

To when I prevented this grace from passing.

To when I remained silent out of fear.

Solo davanti alla Verità posso distinguere il male dal bene.

I put myself in the wrong. I don't just think about when my life was taken, but also when I took it instead of giving it or welcoming it.

Affido queste cadute, queste rovine, e vedo tra i detriti qualcosa di nuovo, è appena un germoglio quello che mi viene affidato.

Questo non è certamente opera mia, ma è lì proprio per me, da offrire.

Libertà è una parola vuota se non riconosco i miei fratelli e se non sono disposta a correre dei rischi per loro.

È davvero possibile rispondere al male con il bene come hai fatto tu?

Amare a perdere, con lo slancio di un salto nel vuoto.

Vieni, o Maria, e degnati di abitare in questa casa.

Come già al tuo Cuore Immacolato fu consacrata la Chiesa e tutto il genere umano, così noi, in perpetuo, affidiamo e consacriamo al
tuo Cuore Immacolato la nostra famiglia.

Tu che sei Madre della Divina Grazia ottienici di vivere sempre in grazia di Dio e in pace tra noi.

Rimani con noi; ti accogliamo con cuore di figli, indegni, ma desiderosi di essere sempre tuoi, in vita, in morte e nell’eternità.

Resta con noi come abitasti nella casa di Zaccaria e di Elisabetta; come fosti gioia nella casa degli sposi di Cana; come fosti madre per l’Apostolo Giovanni. Portaci Gesù Cristo, Via, Verità e Vita.

Away from us sin and all evil. In this house be Mother of Grace, Teacher and Queen.

Dispense to each of us the spiritual and material graces we need; especially increase faith, hope, charity.
Suscita tra i nostri cari sante vocazioni.

Always be with us, in joys and in pains, and above all make sure that one day all the members of this family are united with you in Heaven.
