From the Gospel according to John Jn 14:15-21
During that time, Jesus he said to his disciples, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments; and I will pray the Father and he will give you another Paraclete to remain with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see him and does not know him. You know him because he remains with you and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans: I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see me no more; but you will see me, because I live and you will live. On that day you will know that I am in the Father mine and you in me and I in you. Whoever receives my commandments and observes them, this is the one who loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by Father mine, and I too will love him and reveal myself to him."

“If you love me, keep my commandments. I will pray the Father and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.” “Whoever receives my commandments and observes them, he loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by Father mine, and I too will love him and reveal myself to him."
There is an equivalence that is difficult to understand between Love, the Commandments and the Spirit, a sort of triangle. The commandment in the Jewish tradition is a memorial, that is, to remember that God ti ha salvato. Lo spirito viene definito da una parola importante “Paràclito” che significa spirito consolatore ma anche avvocato difensore.
