Summary
Marino Moretti was an Italian poet, novelist and playwright, best known as a twilight poet.Wikipedia
Let's read this rhyme together:
The fronds rustle
in the heavy air and the sun
laughs at the field mushrooms
and to the blonde biches,
and makes everything golden
the field from which it arrives
the happy song
of rural work.
Here, the ear is full
and the sickle is in the hand;
the good June sun
rejoice in fatigue.
And the song goes up
from the field of work
and accompanied by a choir
screech of cicadas;
and the song rises I yearn
from more distant mouths
praising bread on earth
ed il buon Padre in cielo.
