Let's continue novena in preparazione della commemorazione dei nostri “nati in Cielo”.

Praying for our loved ones, who live in the peace of the Lord, is the best way to feel them close, in communion with us.

Light a light and recite the proposed prayer (one for each day) and end with eternal rest.

Let's pray

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O God, come save me.
O Lord, make haste to help me.

Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and forever and ever.

I believe in God, almighty Father, creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended to heaven, sits at the right hand of God, the almighty Father; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, eternal life.

The souls in Purgatory suffer thinking about the time wasted in life and which they could have used to earn merit to access Paradise; in fact, after death, it is no longer possible to acquire further merits. O Almighty and Eternal God!

What have I ever done in my life to deserve the Eternal Award? The things of this world have almost always absorbed my senses and my thoughts. I thank you because you give me more time to repair the evil done and to earn merit for Heaven. I regret with all my heart that I have distanced myself from You, O God of supreme goodness. O Jesus, You have promised to live with us forever: let nothing count as much as loving You and serving You.

Have mercy on me and our brothers in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, full of grace, come to the aid of the souls in Purgatory with Your powerful intercession! Through it, may Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son and our Lord, grant them to participate in His glory and bliss.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors, and do not abandon us to temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Hail, O Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning now and forever and ever.

Eternal rest give them, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them, may they rest in peace. Amen
