Read and listen to “The Boar, the Horse and the Hunter”
Summary
Hello Friends of Eugenio from all over the world.
Today I have the pleasure of putting you to sleep with the fairy tale of Aesop "The boar, the horse and the hunter”.
Aesop (in ancient Greek: Αἴσωπος, Áisōpos; circa 620 BC – Delphi, 564 BC) wasan ancient Greek writer, contemporary of Croesus and Pisistratus (6th century BC),known for his fairy tales. His works had a huge influence on Western culture: his fables are still extremely popular and well-known today. Very little is known about his life, and some scholars have even questioned whether the corpus of fables attributed to him is the work of a single author. The first stories in the form of fables that have been handed down to us are those of him.
Let's read together
Once upon a time there were a boar and a horse who grazed in the same meadow and drank from the same stream. The boar, however, trampled the horse's grass and clouded the water, sending his companion into a rage.
So, the horse decided to take revenge and asked a hunter for help.
“I would gladly help you, but first you will have to let yourself be put on the bit and the bridle and I will have to get on your back” the hunter replied.
The horse, eager to have his revenge, agreed to all his requests and took the hunter on his back. This, he chased the boar in the meadow and killed it: revenge was done. But then he led the horse into his stable and tied it to a manger.
Moral: Many people, in order to take revenge on their enemies, go so far as to harm themselves.
