A little history
The grand piano is a keyboard musical instrument that produces sounds through the percussion of metal strings with hammers driven by the keys.
It differs from the upright piano in the shape and arrangement of the strings, which are horizontal and extend from the keyboard towards the back of the instrument. The grand piano has a more powerful, rich and harmonious sound than the vertical piano, thanks to the longer length and tension of the strings and the wider sound box.
There are different types of grand piano, based on size and sound: the concert grand piano, the largest and the most used in concert halls; the half-tailed piano, medium in size and suitable for domestic use or in small spaces; the baby grand piano, the smallest and the cheapest, but also the least performing from an acoustic point of view.

Once upon a time there was a grand piano that lived in a large concert hall. It was a very nice piano, with ivory keyboards and shiny wood. He was also very proud of his music, which made the people who listened to him excited and dreamed.
One day, however, the piano felt sad. He noticed that the concert hall was increasingly empty, and that people preferred to listen to other musical genres. He felt useless and forgotten. He thought no one appreciated him anymore.
Then one night, he decided to run away from the concert hall. He set out to look for a place where he could play his music and make people happy. Along the way, he met many other musical instruments: a guitar, a violin, a trumpet, a drums… But no one wanted to play with him. They found it too big, too heavy, too old.
The piano felt even more sad. He wondered if there was anyone in the world who loved him. He kept wandering around the city until he arrived in a park. There he saw a group of children playing and laughing. The piano stopped to watch. He felt a sweet nostalgia for the times when he entertained children with his melodies.
Suddenly, one of the children approached the piano. She was a blonde-haired little girl and blue eyes. The little girl began to touch the keyboards with curiosity. The piano felt happy. Finally someone was interested in him!
The little girl started playing random notes. The piano began to follow her, creating a harmonious and cheerful music. The little girl was amazed and smiled. The other children approached and began singing and dancing around the piano.
The piano was very happy. He realized that his music was still capable of giving joy and magic. He realized that there was still someone who loved him.
And so the piano decided to stay in the park, where every day he could play for the children and make them happy. And every night he could look at the stars and dream.
This is the fairy tale of the grand piano, which teaches us that music is a precious gift, which must be shared with those who know how to appreciate it.
