Thisfable is dedicated to our small and big loves who, when they get angry or throw a tantrum, become really difficult to manage. A calming chocolate, a magical drink that, perhaps, would also be good for us grown-ups.

Ira was a beautiful and very good child.

Only, when a game didn't work well for her, she became a child who flew into a rage: she fussed, got angry, cried and screamed until she was exhausted.
Her mum he said: “Ira, don't be so angry. Come, let's find a solution”, but the little girl cried and cried and there was no way to calm her down.
Un giorno Ira stava costruendo una torre con i mattoncini delle costruzioni.

She worked very hard because she wanted to make it very high: brick by brick…but, in an instant, the tower collapsed and its pieces ended up everywhere!
Ira flew into a rage: she cried and screamed so much that she woke up the fairy of silence.
La mamma di Ira era in cucina e stava lavando i piatti: aveva deciso di lasciare da sola Ira, perché si decidesse una volta per tutte a finirla con questi capricci.

He saw nothing: not even the fairy of silence, an all-blonde lady that only the children could see.
The Fairy of Silence said to the little girl:
“Ira, why are you crying so much?”
“I'm just crying,” Ira said.
"I understand. You are crying because you have not yet drunk the chocolate of calm”.
"What is the chocolate of calm?", Ira was curious, because the word calm, but above all the word chocolate, interested her a lot.
“It's a magical chocolate, which prepares a magical cuisine. Do you have a kitchen, Ira?”

“Ho una cucina-gioco, di legno, che mi ha regalato la mamma, ma non è magica”, rispose la bimba.
“Questo lo dici tu”, disse la fata.

“Tell me where your kitchen is, I'll prepare the ingredients”.
La fata si avvicino alla cucina di Ira: c’erano i fornelli, un lavandino, un forno, un orologio per controllare l’ora mentre si cucinava.

"He's serious," thought Ira and approached her handing her a saucepan and a spoon.
“How do you make magic chocolate?” the girl asked.
“Here it is,” said the fairy of silence, stirring in the saucepan.

“We have cocoa, sugar, potato starch…I forgot the milk, can you get it for me?”.

Ira aveva anche un frigo di legno, tra i mobiletti della sua camera. Tornò dalla fata con il bricco del latte, sempre più curiosa.

There was nothing in the saucepan: was the fairy pretending or would a chocolate really arrive? Ira was starting to feel like it…
“Vieni, Ira, mescola un po’ tu”.

Ira si avvicinò alla cucina e mescolò, con il cucchiaio, nel pentolino.

"You have to turn slowly, slowly and count to 10," said the fairy. “Are you sure?” the girl said. "I'm sure," said the fairy. They mixed together. 1, 2, 3 …: the little girl had learned to count up to 10!
The wooden kitchen was truly magical! In the saucepan, a cream with a good scent began to show. “Taste it,” said the fairy to Ira.

"It's good," exclaimed the little girl. She had never tasted such a sweet chocolate…”It's the chocolate of calm. However, you will only be able to have it when you have the patience to mix slowly and count to 10”, explained the fairy.
In quel momento la mamma, accortasi che Ira non piangeva più, tornò a vedere che cosa era successo.
“Mamma, vuoi una tazza di cioccolata?”, chiese la bambina. La fata del silenzio era scomparsa; Ira, però, non era più una bambina che andava su tutte le furie, perché aveva la ricetta della cioccolata della calma.
