Et habitávit in nobis.
Ave Maria…

Amen.

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto

Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen (ter)

Adiutorium nostrum in nomine Domini.
Qui fecit caelum et terram.

Benedicat vos omnipotens Deus,
Pater, et Filius, et Spiritus Sanctus.

Amen.

English

The Angel of the Lord brought the announcement to Mary.
And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary…

Here I am, I am the servant of the Lord.
Your word is fulfilled in me.
Hail Mary…

And the Word became flesh.
And he came to dwell among us.
Hail Mary…

Pray for us, Holy Mother of God.
Because we are made worthy of the promises of Christ.

We pray.
Instill in our spirit Your grace, O Father; You, who in the announcement of the angel have revealed to us the incarnation of Your Son, for His passion and His cross guide us to the glory of the resurrection. By Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning, now and always, in the centuries. Amen. (3 times)
Eternal rest gives them, Lord, and shine to them the perpetual light. Rest in peace. Amen
Apostolic or Papal Blessing

May the Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.

Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Now and always.

Our help is in the name of the Lord.
He made heaven and earth.

May God bless you all-powerful,
Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit.

Amen.

What is the Angelus

The Angelus is a prayer recited in memory of the Perennial Mystery of the Incarnation three times a day: at 6 a.m., at noon and in the evening at about 6 p.m., when the Angelus bell is ringing.

The name Angelus derives from the first verse of the prayer – Angelus Domini nuntiavit Mariae – which consists of the short reading of three simple texts concerning the Incarnation of Jesus Christ and the recitation of three Hail Marys.

This prayer is recited by the Pope in St. Peter’s Square at noon on Sundays and on Solemnities. Before the recitation of the Angelus, the Pontiff also gave a short speech taking inspiration from the Readings of the Day. Greetings followed to the pilgrims.

From Easter until Pentecost, in place of the Angelus is recited the Queen Coeli, which is a prayer in memory of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, at the end of which the Glory is recited three times.
