First Reading

I became minister of Church to bring to fruition the mystery hidden for centuries.

From the letter of Saint Paul apostle to the Colossians
Col 1.24-2.3

I became a minister of it, according to the mission entrusted to me by God towards you to bring to fruition the word of God, the mystery hidden for centuries and generations, but now manifested to his saints. God wanted to make known to them the glorious riches of this mystery among the people: Christ in you, hope of glory.

In fact, it is he who we announce, admonishing everyone man and teaching each one with all wisdom, to make every man perfect in Christ. For this reason I toil and struggle, with the strength that comes from him and that acts in me with power.

In fact, I want you to know what a hard fight I have to endure for you, for those of Laodicea and for all those who have never seen me in person, so that their hearts may be consoled. And so, intimately united in love, they may be enriched with full intelligence to know the mystery of God, who is Christ: in him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Word of God.

Responsorial Psalm
From Ps 61 (62)

R. In God it is mine salvation and my glory.

Only in God does my soul rest:
from him my hope.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my defense: I will never be able to falter. R.
Trust in him, O people, at all times;
davanti a lui aprite il vostro heart:
our refuge is God. R.

Gospel acclamation

Hallelujah, hallelujah.

My sheep listen to mine voice, says the Gentleman,
and I know them and they follow me. (Jn 10.27)

The Gospel of September 11, 2023

They watched to see if he would heal on the day of Saturday.

From Gospel according to Luke
Luke 6:6-11
A Saturday Jesus entered the synagogue and began to teach. It was there a man che aveva la hand destra paralizzata.

But Jesus knew their thoughts and said to the man who had a paralyzed hand: "Get up and stand here in the middle!". He stood up and stood between them.

Then Jesus said to them: «I ask you: on the Sabbath, is it lawful to do good or to do something bad, save one life or suppress it?”. And looking at them all around, she said to the man: "Stretch out your hand!". He did it and his hand was healed.

But they, beside themselves with anger, began to argue among themselves about what they could do to Jesus.

God's word.

Don't hide the truth!

Do not hide the truth, whatever cost it may take; if you are martyrs, so much the better: you will reign with Me in the home of Father Mio…

Shout, sow, preach; do it with joy tanto più dolce perché facendolo non solo Mi obbedite, ma Mi imitate…

Whether you are listened to or not, always preach and always pray for yours words doorman fruit; if they don't bring any, continue without sadness or discouragement, with a certain joy of failure, because if you don't succeed you share My fate..."

In the Gospels, many pages recount Jesus' encounters with the sick and his commitment to healing them. He presents himself publicly as someone who fights against disease e che è venuto per guarire l’uomo da ogni male: il male dello spirito e il male del corpo. […]

Jesus never shied away from their care. He never moved on, he never turned his face away. And when a father or a mother, or even simply friendly people would bring a sick person to him so that he could touch him and heal him, he didn't waste time; there healing veniva prima della legge, anche di quella così sacra come il riposo del sabato.

The doctors of the law rebuked Jesus because he healed on the Sabbath and did good on the Sabbath. But Jesus' love was to give health, to do good: and this always comes first! (General audience, 10 June 2015)
