Indeed, for you it is the promise and for yours sons and for all those who are far away, how many will the Lord call God our". With many other words he bore witness and exhorted them: "Save yourselves from this perverse generation!".

Gospel
I saw the Lord and he told me these things.

From the Gospel according to John
Jn 20:11-18
At that time, Maria was outside, near the tomb, and wept. While she was weeping, she bent down towards the sepulcher and saw two angels in white, seated, one at her head and the other at her feet, where the body of Jesus. And they said to her, "Woman, why are you crying?" She answered them: «They have taken away my Lord and I don't know where they have placed him».
Having said that, he turned around and saw Jesus, standing; but he didn't know it was Jesus. He told her Jesus: «Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?". She, thinking he was the keeper of the garden, said to him: "Sir, if you took him away, tell me where you put him and I will go and get him."
Jesus he said to her: «Maria!». She turned and said to him in Hebrew: "Rabboni!" – which means: «Master!». Jesus he said to her, "Don't hold me back, because I haven't gone up yet Father; but go to my brothers and tell them: “I go up to the Father my and Father your, God my and God your"".
Mary of Magdala immediately went to announce to the disciples: "I have seen the Lord!" and what she had told her.

Consolation and joy in the Lord
As we read in the Gospel about Blessed Mary Magdalene: "She bent down to the tomb and saw two angels", etc., Gertrude said to the Lord: "Where is the tomb, Lord, where I must look to find consolation and joy?" Then the Lord showed her the wound on her side.
And as she bent inside, instead of the two angels, she perceived two words of which the first was: “You can never be separated from my communion. ” And the other: “All your actions please me totally perfectly.” She was amazed and, full of doubts, wondered how this could happen: she was in fact so imperfect in every detail that the whole of her acts would not have pleased anyone in the world, due to the hidden defects that she discovered you.
Therefore, how could they please the infinitely luminous knowledge which finds, so to speak, a thousand defects where for the blind man there is only one?! The Lord answered her: “Suppose you keep in hand one thing. You can easily improve it if you want to, and so you have the power to make it agreeable to everyone. Would you exist to do it?
It is the same with me: since you are in the habit of often entrusting your actions to me, I keep them, as it were, in my hand, and, since my omnipotence gives me the power, and my ineffable wisdom, the ability, I have the pleasure in my goodness to improve all your actions, so that I can justly be pleased with them, I and all the inhabitants of the sky."
WORDS OF THE HOLY FATHER
How beautiful it is to think that the first appearance of the Risen One - according to the Gospels - took place in such a personal way!
That there is someone who knows us, who sees our suffering and disappointment, and who is moved by us, and calls us by name.
It is a law that we find engraved in many pages of the Gospel. Around Jesus there are so many people looking God; but the most prodigious reality is that, much earlier, there is above all God who cares for our life, who wants to revive it, and to do this he calls us by name, recognizing the personal face of each one.
Every man is a story of love that God writes on this earth. Each of us is a story of love of God. Each of us God he calls by his own name: he knows us by name, he looks at us, he waits for us, he forgives us, he is patient with us.
Is it true or is it not? Each of us has this experience. (General audience, May 17, 2017)
