Summary
Better a kiss today than a chicken tomorrow

I look for you inside
commentary of Jn 14:21-26, edited byMounira Abdelhamid Serra
I enter the text (Jn 14:21-26)
During that time, Jesus He said to his disciples, "Whoever receives my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me.
Whoever loves me will be loved by Father mine, and I too will love him and reveal myself to him." Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him: "Lord, how did it happen that you are to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?"
She answered him Jesus: «If anyone loves me, he will keep my word and the Father mine will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not observe my words; and the word you hear is not mine, but of Father who sent me.
I have told you these things while I am still with you. But the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit who the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and remind you of all that I have told you.”
I get inspired
I love you and I manifest myself to you, but if you don't love me you won't recognize me.
Often the heart is dry, the mind paranoid, one forgets, one forgets the desire to meet, the desire to let oneself be met.
It happens, sometimes because you no longer have a voice to scream, sometimes because you've stopped listening.
We lose the profound meaning of things, we no longer have eyes to observe, ears to understand, taste buds to taste, we are tired, we are sick, victims of a pall of fatigue, breathlessness, to achieve what?!
We would need the grace to observe the proximity of a gaze, the blunt word that can be addressed to us, the banality of a smile and a rain.
Maybe we could find out what's inside through what's outside.
Then perhaps we would love, perhaps we would recognize the marvel of a Love that is continually manifesting itself for us, to give us strength, to accompany us, to fulfill the beauty of life with us.

Prayer for the eighth day of May dedicated to Mary
Magnificat
My soul magnifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God,
my savior,
because he looked at humility
of his servant.
From now on all generations
they will call me blessed.
He has done great things for me
Almighty and holy is his name:
from generation to generation
his mercy
he lays down on those who fear him.
He explained the power of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in thoughts
of their heart;
he overthrew the mighty from their thrones,
he lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
sent the rich away empty handed.
He helped his servant Israel,
remembering his
mercy, as he promised our fathers,
to Abraham and his descendants,
forever.
Glory to Father and to Son
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, and now and always
forever and ever.
Amen.
Let's pray together
