Read and listen to our little prayer of April 18, 2023
Summary
We open our little prayer with a meditation of the Saint Father Francis, to whom we dedicate our invocation to the Lord every evening.
Our hope is called Jesus. He is alive and with Him evil no longer has power, failure can't stop us from starting over and death becomes the gateway to the beginning of a new life. #Easter
It is therefore probable that I am wiser than him at least in this small detail, that the things I don't even know I think I know.

Mi preparo
Chiudo gli occhi, mi concentro sul momento presente, libero la mente da preoccupazioni e pensieri, esprimo interiormente il mio desiderio di stare alla presenza del Signore
Entro nel testo (Gv 3,7-15)
During that time, Jesus disse a Nicodèmo: «Non meravigliarti se ti ho detto: dovete nascere dall’alto. Il vento soffia dove vuole e ne senti la voce, ma non sai da dove viene né dove va: così è chiunque è nato dallo Spirito». Gli replicò Nicodèmo: «Come può accadere questo?».
Gli rispose Jesus: «Tu sei maestro di Israele e non conosci queste cose? In verità, in verità io ti dico: noi parliamo di ciò che sappiamo e testimoniamo ciò che abbiamo veduto; ma voi non accogliete la nostra testimonianza. Se vi ho parlato di cose della terra e non credete, come crederete se vi parlerò di cose del cielo? Nessuno è mai salito al cielo, se non colui che è disceso dal cielo, il Son dell’uomo.
E come Mosè innalzò il serpente nel deserto, così bisogna che sia innalzato il Son of man, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life."
I get inspired
Nicodemus is a person esteemed for his wisdom, he is a teacher in Israel. He studied the Sacred Scriptures and continuously delves into its meaning. What amazement when you hear da Jesus who must be reborn from above, together with his people.
He has to start over, without quite understanding why.
Nicodemus is placed at a crossroads: accept his ignorance and ask, or remain with what he has learned in a life dedicated to study. Becoming a disciple or playing the role of the teacher.
The crossroads that he is facing, and that we are facing, is not in the shape of a Y, it is in the shape of a cross. The cross of Jesus, the scandal of the suffering of the innocent, confronts us with a great lack of knowledge. And this not knowing makes us free, free to seek, free to listen.
More generally, the experience of scandal, of the stumbling point, is the condition for authentic dialogue, because it holds back our claim to know everything and opens us to listening. Those who know they don't know have everything to learn.
