Oggi, la Church ha ricordato la Presentazione di Jesus Bambino al Tempio (Candlemas).

At the gates of the Temple of Jerusalem, there was the old Simeon who, enlightened by the Holy Spirit, recognized in the Child the Savior of the world. Her words, non sono dettate dalla fame di potere, di possedimento, dalla vendetta, ma dall’Amore verso God. La preghiera di Simeone, dovremmo recitarla con cuore sincero e saggio tutte le sere, a chiusura delle nostre frenetiche giornate.

Dovremmo essere capaci di affidare a God le nostre debolezze, e chiedere al Signore di riposare in pace con Lui e con i fratelli.

Now leave, oh Lord,
may your servant go in peace
according to your word;
for my eyes have seen your salvation
prepared by you before all peoples;
light to enlighten the people
and glory of your people Israel.

Short meditation

In this, help us holy angels, in humbly praying to the Lord so that we can recognize Him in the least and in every person who approaches us.

Aiutateci a tenere sempre accesa la candela che guida i nostri passi verso il regno del Father, quel regno dove tutti saremo finalmente liberati dalla paura di morire e anche di quella di vivere fino in fondo la nostra immagine e somiglianza con God.

Good night
