Eugene he loved sports, and in particular the basketball.

Eugene loved friendship, community life, the sharing.

Eugene con la sua vita, con la sua lotta alla malattia durata 13 mesi, con la sua morte a soli 14 anni ci ha dimostrato che solo l’love guarisce, solo l’love salva, solo l’love dona pace.

Omnia vincit amor et nos cedamus amori(lit. “L’love vince tutto, arrendiamoci anche noi all’love")

Ha illuminato la mente del papà Remigio, della mum Giuseppina e della sorellina Francesca: l’love va trasmesso, l’love deve fluire, l’love deve costruire.

The Association Eugene Ruberto onlus con l’aiuto di tutti, parenti, amici, sostenitori, sponsor e chiunque crede nell’love ha questo sogno nel cassetto: il multi-sports centre Eugene Robert.

The concept

This concept is a socio-educational project aimed at training and educating young people through the creation of a space (Multipurpose center "Eugene Robert") which aims to become a site of social innovation based on the development of the community which becomes an active part of the training of its young people.

This space is equipped with a multifunctional center with 576 seats where in addition to sports practice (basketball and volleyball) numerous other activities can be carried out thanks to the presence of equipped spaces to be used as laboratories and meeting spaces.

In addition to the multipurpose center there are 2 padel courts, a tennis court, a golf court
soccer and an equipped green space.

The design idea is to create a space that includes both in social and territorial terms.
Infatti, dal punto di vista territoriale l’intervento si inserisce in un contesto esistente integrandone le carenze e sviluppandone le potenzialità (Church, Scuola e fermata alifana).

In social terms, the new structure can also be considered an opportunity for the neighboring communities.

The project

The project envisages the definition of a large equipped multi-sports complex, characterized by the presence of various sports and recreational activities to support the local population and neighboring municipalities.
The center will be equipped with:
- Multipurpose center;
– N°1 soccer field;
– N°1 tennis court;
– 2 paddle courts;
– Recreational area with related services.
