Mt 28,1-10

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary went to visit the tomb.

And behold, there was a great earthquake. An angel of the Lord, in fact, descended from heaven, approached, rolled away the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning and his dress white as snow. Because of their fear of him, the guards were shaken and remained as if dead.

L’angelo disse alle donne: «Voi non abbiate paura! So che cercate Gesù, il crocifisso. Non è qui. È risorto, infatti, come aveva detto; venite, guardate il luogo dove era stato deposto.

Go quickly and tell his disciples: “He has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you into Galilee; there you will see it”. Here, I told you."
Hurriedly leaving the tomb with fear and great joy, the women ran to give the announcement to his disciples.

Ed ecco, Gesù venne loro incontro e disse: «Salute a voi!». Ed esse si avvicinarono, gli abbracciarono i piedi e lo adorarono. Allora Gesù disse loro: «Non temete; andate ad annunciare ai miei fratelli che vadano in Galilea: là mi vedranno».

«Voi non abbiate paura! So che cercate Gesù, il crocifisso. Non è qui. È risorto, infatti, come aveva detto; venite, guardate il luogo dove era stato deposto».

Allora Gesù disse loro: «Non temete; andate ad annunciare ai miei fratelli che vadano in Galilea: là mi vedranno». Gesù scende negli inferi e prende per mano Adamo ed Eva.

È un Cristo che vince e che torna alla fine portando con sé tutti i morti. La resurrezione è un mistero indefinibile. La liturgia della notte di Pasqua ha sette letture e sono tutti tentativi di spiegare che cos’è la resurrezione tramite paragoni.

There is more creativity in the resurrection than there was in the creation of heaven and earth. The external earthquake is the mirror of the internal earthquake.

Accettare che Gesù è risorto, dunque che la morte non è l’ultima parola, sconvolge le certezze e le spiegazioni razionali.

È Gesù stesso che tu incontri quando annunci la sua resurrezione.
