Summary
From the Gospel according to Matthew
Mt 28,1-10
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary went to visit the tomb.
And behold, there was a great earthquake. An angel of the Lord, in fact, descended from heaven, approached, rolled away the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning and his dress white as snow. Because of their fear of him, the guards were shaken and remained as if dead.
The angel said to the women: «Do not be afraid! I know you seek Jesus, the crucifix. It is not here. Indeed, he has risen as he had said; come, see the place where he was laid.
Go quickly and tell his disciples: “He has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you into Galilee; there you will see it”. Here, I told you."
Hurriedly leaving the tomb with fear and great joy, the women ran to give the announcement to his disciples.
And here, Jesus came to meet them and said, "Greetings to you!" And they came and embraced his feet and worshiped him. At that time Jesus he said to them: “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee: there they will see me."
Word of the Lord.

Father Jean-Paul Hernandez comments on the Gospel of Easter Sunday and illustrates the symbol of Myrophore, the women who wear ointments and oils, in artistic representations.
"You don't be afraid! I know you seek Jesus, the crucifix. It is not here. Indeed, he has risen as he had said; come, look at the place where he was laid."
At that time Jesus he said to them: “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee: there they will see me." Jesus descends into the underworld and takes for hand Adam and Eve.
It's a Christ who wins and who returns at the end taking all the dead with him. The resurrection is an indefinable mystery. The Easter night liturgy has seven readings and they are all attempts to explain what the resurrection is through comparisons.
There is more creativity in the resurrection than there was in the creation of heaven and earth. The external earthquake is the mirror of the internal earthquake.
Accept that Jesus he has risen, therefore that death is not the last word, it upsets certainties and rational explanations.
IS Jesus same you meet when you announce his resurrection.
