Let's read together
blue monarch
Se spalanchi gli occhi
you can see the Blue Monarch
flying in the jagged breeze
It will take you to a cloud
and you will soar on its wings
and you will go up to the sky
You will feel the heat
the sun and the pastures
grazed in the summer when
you will look at the blue sky and grasp
your reflection in a glance
Just close your eyes
to avoid the nets
abandon the vigil
and be reborn every day
like the Blue Monarch with
the world that flies on its wings
Translation by Raffaella Marzano
original version
Blue monarch
If you open your eyes wide
you can see the Blue Monarch
flitting through the jagged breeze
She'll carry you off on a cloud
and you'll soar on her wings
and rise to heaven
You will feel the heat
of the sun and the grazed
pastures of summer when you
look into blue sky and catch
your reflection at a glance
Just squint your eyes
to evade the nets
Abandon the wake
to be reborn every day
like the Blue Monarch with
the floating world on her wings
